16 May 2019 – Weebit Nano (ASX: WBT), the Israel-based semiconductor company seeking to develop and commercialise the next generation of memory technology, has appointed leading semiconductor company Kitec Design Co., Ltd. as its representative in South Korea, to progress ongoing discussions with potential customers and partners in this key market.
Korea is the world’s largest memory chip manufacturer, producing 57 per cent of the global supply, and the second largest semiconductor industry in the world, accounting for more than 16 per cent of the global market. It is a key target for Weebit’s Silicon Oxide (SiOx) ReRAM technology. A leading provider of System on a Chip (SoC) development and services, Kitec Design has been an established representative in semiconductors for nearly 20 years and is well connected with all of the major companies in the South Korean market.
